Knoll is continuing to help build more equitable, inclusive communities with two new initiatives—the Knoll Diversity Advancement Design Scholarship for Black Students and a corporate partnership with Habitat for Humanity. These initiatives, along with our role as the founding sponsor of the World Monuments Fund, help ensure that we are contributing positively to the communities where we work and live.
The Knoll Diversity Advancement Design Scholarship for Black Students
The Knoll Diversity Advancement Design Scholarship for Black Students is an annual scholarship available to Black-identifying freshman undergraduate students. The scholarship awards $10,000, renewable annually, to five Black high school seniors in the United States or Canada who are pursuing studies at two- or four-year institutions, and will be studying architecture, graphic design, industrial and architectural engineering, interior design or industrial design.
Habitat for Humanity + Knoll
The Habitat for Humanity + Knoll corporate partnership is an extension of our commitment to good design and sustainable building practices. Knoll is partnering with nonprofit Habitat for Humanity to contribute to its mission of providing families with safe, sustainably built homes. The partnership allows consumers to donate to Habitat when making a purchase at the Shop at knoll.com or at retail Knoll Home Design Shops in New York and Los Angeles. Knoll will match donations up to $100,000. In addition, Knoll Associates will be able to participate in volunteer opportunities with Habitat for Humanity when it is safe to do so.

World Monuments Fund
Since 2010, Knoll has supported public advocacy for Modernist buildings around the world. A key element of the World Monuments Fund Modernism at Risk program is the biennial WMF Knoll Modernism Prize, which enhances community awareness of the seminal role Modernism plays in the built environment. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 prize will be awarded in 2021.
